Fresno Urban Ministry Project

The Fresno Urban Ministry Project (FUMP) is a one-week (Spring break) urban plunge in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Fresno, California. Through FUMP you have the opportunity to experience how God is working in the Lowell neighborhood through a children’s Bible club, a service project in the neighborhood, in-depth studying of Scripture, a scripted driving tour of downtown Fresno, listening to guest speakers and urban re-locators, and other strategic learning opportunities.

During the project we will stay at the World Impact building. We sleep on mats on the floor, so you are encouraged to bring padding along with a sleeping bag. There is a basketball gym, showers and bathrooms, and classrooms. The building is secure.

We ask that participants stay for the entire project, that they come with willing spirits and flexible attitudes.
